Financial Controller

BNY Mellon is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our Pershing Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for Financial Control across the business, acting as the first line of defence.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience and commercial awareness in the Financial Services industry, with knowledge of GAAP and accounting and finance concepts and analysis techniques. You will be responsible for reviewing the control environment within Finance to ensure the controls in place are acceptable for the risks associated, while performing ad-hoc testing to confirm processes work as planned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce monthly financial and management accounts accurately and to timetable.
- Provide analysis and insight into financial results, identifying and resolving issues within our revenue and expense lines.
- Manage and complete the Financial Year end process with the delivery on approved Financial Statements.
- Work in partnership with our India based service team partners to support the efficiency and accuracy of the Financial Control functions.
- Ensure that Sub-ledger accounts that are maintained across the business are subject to a high degree and control and reconciliation.
