">About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Network Officer to join our team at the City of Edinburgh Council. As a key member of our Road Safety team, you will play a vital role in promoting road safety and reducing casualties on our network.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective road safety strategies to reduce accidents and improve journey times
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver projects and initiatives that enhance road safety and infrastructure
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and external partners on road safety best practices
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote road safety and efficiency

You will be responsible for working closely with our team to deliver projects that align with our Road Safety Action Plan for Edinburgh 2030.

">Requirements
  • Proven experience in road safety, project development, and infrastructure design
  • Strong understanding of traffic management principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment

Salary: £39,126 - £46,475 per annum (pro rata).

The successful candidate will be based at Waverley Court, next to Waverley Station, and will be expected to attend site meetings and collaborate with colleagues across the city.
