Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Castle View Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant by carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities, undertaking repairs, and contributing to system improvements.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Planned Preventative Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks to maximise plant reliability and efficiency.
  2. Repair and Maintenance: Undertake planned and emergency repairs in a safe and timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  3. System Improvements: Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures, and take responsibility for organising safety checks and inspections.
  4. Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels of machinery spares and consumables, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
  5. Fault Finding and Diagnostics: Carry out fault finding and diagnostics in emergency breakdown situations, identifying and resolving issues quickly.
  6. Health and Safety: Implement best practice H&S measures, and assist in the development and improvement of existing maintenance procedures.
  7. Contractor Control: Assume responsibility for contractor control on site, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have served a recognised apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical engineering, and be qualified to 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations. Pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC experience would be advantageous, as would experience in installations and project commissioning. Previous experience of electrical maintenance within a processing or manufacturing environment is essential.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking company. A drug and alcohol test will be required by the client before the candidate will be accepted for the role.
