Bionow, a leading clinical-stage R&D infectious disease company, is seeking an experienced Medical Microbiologist to join our team at Alderley Park.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to the development of innovative drugs to treat infections with high unmet medical need and pandemic potential. You will be working on a wide range of experimental techniques, including bacterial susceptibility testing, cytotoxicity profiling, cell culture, mode of action studies, enzyme assays, and molecular microbiology.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative in vitro biological assays to evaluate developmental compounds
  • Perform routine lab maintenance, including preparation of reagents and compound management
  • Communicate data to stakeholders and maintain accurate records of experimental work

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a minimum of an MSc or PhD in an area relevant to this role, preferably with experience in microbiology and mammalian cell culture or molecular microbiology. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
