Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Independent Reviewing Officer/CP Chair within the Quality Assurance Service. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Berkshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for chairing Child Protection Conferences, ensuring they meet the quality standards set by the service. They will also work as an Independent Reviewing Officer, carrying out their duties in accordance with statutory guidance and departmental quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a social work qualification or equivalent and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively with children, young people, and their families, as well as with operational managers and other staff.

The role will involve contributing to quarterly and annual service reports and plans, as well as inputting and maintaining records of child protection conferences and CIC reviews. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing, quality assuring, and applying policies and procedures for children subject to Child Protection plans and children in care reviews.

The successful candidate will be part of the Children's Services Management Team and will represent the service in interagency or corporate forums as appropriate. They will contribute to auditing, strategic planning, and development, and will ensure the effective participation of children, young people, and their families in Child Protection conferences and review meetings.
