West Berkshire Council is seeking a skilled Data Analyst and Research Lead to join its Performance, Research and Risk team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team providing performance management advice and support to Children and Family Services and Adult Social Care. This includes sourcing, processing, and reporting data and intelligence from various systems and sources.

Additionally, the post involves overseeing statutory returns to Government, including data preparation for inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Manage a team of performance analysts providing advice and support to Children and Family Services and Adult Social Care.
  • Data Sourcing and Reporting: Source, process, and report data and intelligence from various systems and sources.
  • Statutory Returns: Oversee statutory returns to Government, including data preparation for inspections.
Requirements:
  • Education: Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification relevant for the post.
  • IT Skills: Possess strong IT skills.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Possess relevant knowledge and experience in designing and delivering research and consultation exercises, as well as sound knowledge and understanding of local government children safeguarding and adult social care functions.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and project management skills are required.
