Job Title: Overhead Crane Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Overhead Crane Engineer to join our team at GAP Group LTD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the inspection, function testing, repair, and maintenance of overhead cranes and working at height equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test lifting equipment to ensure compliance with LOLER and PUWER regulations
  • Repair and maintain overhead cranes and working at height equipment
  • Conduct proof load testing of equipment and produce reports and certification
  • Provide technical advice to customers on the selection and use of lifting equipment
  • Support the lifting depot network by maintaining the hire fleet and upskilling team members
Requirements:
  • Experience working as a Crane Engineer, Lifting Engineer, Fitter, or Hoists
  • Competent in the inspection of lifting equipment
  • LEEA qualifications highly desirable
  • Ability to work on own initiative and assist other team members
  • Customer-focused approach and strong attention to detail
  • Valid driving license essential
