About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Crane Engineer to join our team at GAP Group Ltd. in the United Kingdom. As a Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for the inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance of overhead cranes and working at height equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test lifting equipment to ensure compliance with LOLER and PUWER regulations
  • Repair and maintain overhead cranes and working at height equipment
  • Conduct site surveys and advise customers on the correct selection and use of lifting equipment
  • Support the lifting depot network by maintaining the hire fleet and upskilling team members
Requirements
  • Experience working as a Crane Engineer, Lifting Engineer, Fitter, or Hoist
  • Competent in the inspection of lifting equipment
  • LEEA qualifications desirable, including advanced programs such as Lifting Machines Powered, Runways & Crane Structures, and Overhead Travelling Cranes
  • Ability to work on own initiative and assist other team members
  • Customer-focused approach and strong attention to detail
  • Valid driving license essential
