Psychiatrist in Older Adult Community Mental Health Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to join our Older Adult Community Mental Health Services team at Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct outpatient clinics, home visits, and residential/nursing home reviews to provide high-quality psychiatric care for older adults with mental health problems.
- Expertise: Provide medical knowledge within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and support colleagues in the assessment and management of risk.
- On-call Rota: Participate in the West Kent On-call rota, requiring Section 12 approval for Mental Health Act (MHA) assessments.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and Trust mandatory training to stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines.
- The team has a rapid assessment service for urgent referrals, and you will work collaboratively with primary care, social services, and other mental health services to provide comprehensive care.
