Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of youth justice cases, adhering to National Standards and HMIP Inspection Framework.
  • Providing support and interventions to children and young people, focusing on prevention of re-offending and promoting a crime-free lifestyle.
  • Communicating effectively with children and young people, their families and relevant partners to secure the best outcomes.
  • Prioritizing equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice throughout all aspects of the work.
  • Utilizing AssetPlus as an assessment and planning tool, incorporating trauma-informed practice to support children and young people in refraining from offending.
  • Collaborating with children and young people, their families and partner agencies to deliver evidence-based interventions/programmes reducing the risk of offending, re-offending and disengagement.
  • Preparing reports for the Court and other forums as required.
  • Representing YJTPS and presenting information to Courts.
  • Providing effective engagement and delivering interventions based on assessment analysis to keep children and young people safe.

A competitive salary of £26.50 per hour reflects the importance of this role in addressing offending behavior and promoting community safety.
