**Estimated Salary:** £73,852

**Job Overview:** We are seeking an experienced senior leader to join our Research Centre for Climate in Cambridge as the Director of Climate Initiatives. This exciting role offers the opportunity to provide strategic direction and operational oversight to the Centre team, manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and drive the Centre's growth and development.

The Centre brings together leading academic research and thought leadership to drive climate action. As the Director of Climate Initiatives, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing implementation plans to advance the Centre's mission and goals.
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance within the Centre team.
  • Spearheading fundraising efforts to secure sustainable funding for the Centre.
  • Overseeing financial planning and management to ensure robust financial practices.
  • Establishing and nurturing partnerships with key University entities and external stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A passion for climate change science and policy.
  • Substantial executive-level experience.
  • Proven ability to influence senior individuals.
  • Fundraising experience.
  • Experience in climate change law, policy, or sustainability.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and change management skills.
