Graduate Behaviour Mentor Role

Godalming, Surrey, United Kingdom Academics Ltd Full time

At Academics Ltd, we are seeking a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to join our team in supporting vulnerable students aged 4-19. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience working with children who require additional support, increasing their engagement and attainment.

The successful candidate will be working with a well-respected specialist school near Guildford, supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The ideal candidate will be able to identify risks and needs, escalating where necessary, and provide a consistent role model for the students.

We are looking for someone who is empathetic, committed to building strong relationships, and up for a challenge. The ability to remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict is essential. A common feature for many children and young people with special educational needs is marginalisation and disadvantage, trauma, dysfunctional family relationships, low educational attainment and stigmatisation.

This is a challenging role, but any previous experience in a relevant field would be advantageous. Training, support and CPD is required to ensure safeguarding of all students. If you are looking to kick-start your career in Psychology, Mental Health or Education, then this Mental Health Teaching Assistant role is the perfect opportunity for you.

Salary: £85 - £110 per day, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4pm, term time only

Benefits: Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students. You must have the right to work in the UK to apply, as no Visa sponsorship is available.
