About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at Durham University. The successful candidate will work on a prestigious project funded by the AHRC/Belmont Forum, focusing on the biocultural adaptation of resource management traditions under the effects of climate change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality academic research in the field of ecological sustainability and indigenous ontologies.
  • Develop and implement research proposals and designs in collaboration with other academics.
  • Analyze mixed qualitative-quantitative data on the cultural transmission of indigenous ecological knowledge.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on research outputs/activities to various audiences.
  • Contribute to the development of research objectives and proposals.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, including participating in research meetings.
  • Manage independent research and plan and manage research resources.
