About the Role

The Senior Geophysicist will be responsible for leading a field team in acquiring geophysical data and assisting with data processing and interpretation in the office.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires excellent leadership skills, technical expertise, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Lead offshore surveys, ensuring effective communication with the office on operational data QC matters
  • Project manage survey projects where necessary, ensuring timely completion and quality results
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure quality and consistency of field data, data processing, deliverable creation, and data management
Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Geology, Geophysics, or other related marine or earth science
  • At least 3 years working onboard vessels undertaking marine survey operations
  • Leadership experience in managing small teams undertaking various marine survey tasks
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in GIS and spatial data (QGIS & ArcGIS)
