About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Logistics Assistant to join our team at GXO Logistics, Inc. in Dartford (DA1 1DY). As a key member of our Store to Home team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises on a multidrop basis, with an average of 16 drops per day off-peak and 24 drops per day in peak season.
  • Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle, as well as loading and unloading vehicles as and when required.
  • Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition.
  • Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner.

Requirements
  • Experience of dealing with multi-drop home delivery is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting, and pushing.
  • A can-do attitude with a knack for problem-solving.
  • Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check).
  • Be prepared to commute to Dartford (DA1 1DY) for the required shift pattern.
