We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Medical team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will provide input to the acute medical receiving unit and medical wards of this busy acute teaching hospital. Key responsibilities include:

  • Excellent communication, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • A high standard of Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention skills.
  • Clinical experience working as an Occupational Therapist in an acute or rehabilitation setting.
  • Experience of providing clinical or non-clinical supervision.

Strong network links to the hospital are available via bus services.

Candidates in Band 5 posts looking to develop their careers are encouraged to apply, as are those already in Band 6 posts. Flexibility with working days, job share, and times of work will also be considered. A commitment to weekend working in the occupational therapy team at RIE is part of the 5 over 7 day working pattern.
