Job Summary

This exciting opportunity is for a Dual Accredited Paediatric and Adult Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical opinion and managing patients in the Adult and Paediatric Emergency Departments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Take full independent responsibility for all patients in the Adult and Paediatric Emergency Departments.
  • Advise and manage the efficient running of the departments, including leadership for junior doctors and clinical practitioners.
  • Supervise doctors and practitioners, with the ability to teach clinical and practical skills as required.
Requirements
  • Evidence of achievement of competencies by time of appointment in line with GMC standards/Good Medical Practice.
  • Clinical training and experience to manage, supervise, and offer expert clinical opinion on patients presenting to the Adult and Paediatric Emergency Department (ED).
  • Eligibility for full registration with the GMC at the time of appointment and entry on the GMC Specialist Register via one of the following: Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR).
Additional Information
  • The successful candidate will work 10 PAs per week, with 75% DCC and 25% SPA.
  • The role includes one late shift until midnight each week and two full day shifts incorporating SPA time.
  • Weekend rota is worked as a 1 in 6 frequency covering both adults and Paediatric ED.
Estimated Salary Range

£105,504 - £139,882 per annum, plus On-call supplement.
