MEP Design Manager Opportunity at Criterion Capital

We are seeking an exceptional MEP Design Manager to join our team at Criterion Capital, a dynamic and entrepreneurial business based in London's West End. As a key member of our construction division, you will play a strategic role in managing the design team and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee projects from Stage 2 to Completion, ensuring effective, cost-efficient, and robust design and installation of mechanical and electrical services.
  • Collaborate with external consultants to optimize proposals for performance, longevity, ease of maintenance, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead the production of specifications, balancing cost efficiency, robustness, performance, and costs in use.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Assist the Quantity Surveyor in procurement, tender analysis, and contractor selection.
  • Oversee commissioning, ensuring all systems are functional and reliable.
  • Compile necessary information for the O&M manual.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in MEP Design and Project Management.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects at pace, with ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Expert understanding of MEP design, construction processes, and technology.
  • Excellent understanding of legislation and chartered bodies.
  • 'Can-do' attitude, with willingness to challenge conventional thinking and a pro-active, positive approach.
  • Analytical and thorough thinking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Qualified to BSc level in mechanical or electrical engineering, or extensive demonstrable experience.
