As a skilled Rail Maintenance Engineer with Ford & Stanley Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our passenger trains.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Train Equipment Specialist to join our team in the Northwest area. The successful candidate will have experience in Electrical and mechanical maintenance of passenger trains and be able to take home an estimated salary of over £52,000 per year (£1,000 per week).

This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to complete Electrical and mechanical maintenance, repairs and installation to fleets of trains. You will be responsible for ensuring all trains are ready to enter service, helping to reduce delays and cancellations.

This contract role involves working days, nights and weekends, with a 6 month rolling contract expected to last at least a year.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Complete Electrical and mechanical maintenance, repairs and installation to fleets of trains.
  2. Ensure all trains are ready to enter service, reducing delays and cancellations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need NVQ Level 3 or equivalent minimum qualification in a relevant subject, as well as previous rolling stock experience carrying out maintenance and fault finding and repairs on both mechanical and electrical passenger trains.
