About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Export Control team in the UK. As Head of Export Control and Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with export control regulations and providing a timely export licence service to the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement export control strategies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the business on export control matters
  • Lead the Export Control team in the UK, including functional management and development responsibilities
  • Collaborate with international trade and compliance teams to harmonise approaches and coordinate activities
  • Negotiate amendments to existing export control contracts and agreements
  • Collect and share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned to ensure the company is equipped to deliver export control activities
Requirements
  • Significant years of relevant export control and compliance experience
  • Good understanding of commercial and cultural implications of operating in various export domains
  • Established leadership and influencing management skills
  • Strong ability to develop good working relationships with directors and business managers
  • Experience in creating positive engagement with partners, suppliers, and customers
  • Expertise in export licence services, compliance with regulations, and conducting internal audits
  • Firm understanding of legal implications and regulations related to export control
