Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Kent County Council's Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking (UAS) Children's Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to newly arrived unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in Kent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage routines and set goals for young people to ensure their well-being and development.
  • Facilitate a learning culture in the centre, promoting education and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a safe and supportive environment for children.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies to ensure effective support and care.

  • Competitive salary of between £26,515 and £28,850 per annum.
  • Annual leave allowance of 27 days (29 days after 5 years service).

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
