About the Company

Our client is a leading producer of agri products operating from one of the largest plants of its kind in Europe. They are seeking an experienced Production Process Engineer to join their team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for optimising and improving production processes, providing technical support to production staff, and driving efficiency improvements throughout the manufacturing process. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support to production staff to ensure efficient operation of equipment and machinery.
  • Coordinating process-related fault finding and issue resolutions to minimise downtime.
  • Utilising knowledge of lean techniques, continuous improvement methodologies, and OEE principles to drive efficiency improvements throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Liaising with contractors as required to solve problems and develop new processes.
  • Participating in and leading continuous improvement projects across various departments to achieve management objectives and targets.

Requirements:

  • HNC qualified in an engineering discipline or time-served maintenance technician.
  • Relevant process engineering experience ideally in a food or FMCG setting.
  • Knowledge of production processes, continuous improvement methodologies, and OEE principles.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, variable speed drives, and SCADA systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve organisational objectives.

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of £48,000 per annum, plus shift premium bringing the salary to £49,440 per annum, and opportunities for professional development and growth within the organisation.
