Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Analyst to join our team. As a Commercial Analyst at Cheesecake Energy Ltd, you will play a critical role in our sales and business development efforts. Your key responsibilities will include:

Techno-Economic Analysis

Perform detailed techno-economic analyses to evaluate the feasibility and financial potential of CAES projects. This includes assessing project economics, financial models, ROI calculations, and cost-benefit analyses.

Market Research

Investigate and analyse market trends, competitor strategies, regulatory frameworks, and industry benchmarks related to energy storage and CAES technologies.

Collaboration

Work closely with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure alignment on project requirements and customer expectations.

Reporting and Insights

Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations summarising analysis findings, market insights, and business development opportunities.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience (2+ years) in conducting techno-economic analysis, financial modeling, or business analysis within the energy sector or related industries is required. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools are essential. Python or similar coding skills are preferred. Ability to interpret and present complex data clearly and concisely is crucial. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively are necessary.
