About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Michael Page Scotland. As a key member of our Sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion in the on-trade beer sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tap Uptake and Retention: Increase tap sales and maintain retention of existing taps with our clients.
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the on-trade sector, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote our client's brand and drive sales growth.
  • Target Achievement: Achieve and exceed set sales targets, providing regular sales reports to senior management.
  • Financial Management: Manage budget and sales forecasts effectively, staying up-to-date with industry trends and market activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the drinks industry, or a background in hospitality, with a strong outgoing and confident nature.
  • Negotiation and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with pub/bar owners and managers.
  • Market Knowledge: A keen understanding of market dynamics in the Scottish drinks and on-trade sector.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present sales reports to senior management.
