About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cellular Pathology Team Lead to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board.

As a key member of the laboratory team, you will be responsible for managing staff, developing processes, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Histology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Histology section, including sectioning and quality control.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.

Requirements:

  • MSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • In-depth experience of Cellular Pathology techniques.
  • Training and experience in IHC and dissection.
  • Fellowship of The Institute of Biomedical Science (FIBMS).
  • Certificate in Supervisory Management.

Salary:

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £50,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
