Histology Department Lead Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Histology Department Lead to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our Cellular Pathology department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Histology section.

With a strong background in histology and laboratory management, you will lead a team of professionals in providing high-quality services to patients across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, and Pembrokeshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Histology section, ensuring efficient and effective operation
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve service delivery
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery

The successful candidate will have a salary range of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., MSc in Biomedical Science)
  • At least 5 years' experience in laboratory management or a related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
