Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to cater to students' unique needs
  • Provide one-to-one support and guidance to students, promoting independence and confidence
  • Collaborate with students to identify strengths and areas for improvement, and develop strategies to address these
  • Support students in developing effective time management, organization, and research skills
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Requirements:
  • Membership with a relevant professional body, such as the British Dyslexia Association (BDA) or the Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues
  • Experience working with students with SpLDs, with a strong understanding of their needs and challenges
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting student needs
