Job Title: Specialist One to One Study Skills Coach

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist One to One Study Skills Coach to join our team of support consultants. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students who face barriers to learning due to Autistic Spectrum Conditions and associated mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students in a higher education setting, addressing issues related to acquiring, recalling, and retaining information in written and spoken language.
  • Work with students to identify strategies to overcome barriers, including study skills, time management, and organizational techniques.
  • Develop and implement Individual Support Plans to enhance students' skills and promote independent learning.
  • Organize sessions with assigned students, offering support on campus, in-home, or remotely as agreed.
  • Complete Amano administration promptly and accurately, adhering to safeguarding, health, and safety policies.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working with students with disabilities and/or ASD-related difficulties.
  • Ability to assess student needs and establish effective Individual Support Plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Good competency in using mobile IT and assistive technologies.
  • Proactive in maintaining CPD and staying up-to-date with best practices in autism support.
Mandatory Qualifications:

Hold a degree and a teaching qualification, with comprehensive training in adult autism, including the National Autistic Society's core autism online training modules or equivalent.

Alternatively, hold a Post-Graduate Certificate in Autism/Asperger's and a teaching qualification.
