Fashion Buyer

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Fashion Buyer to join our team at Peacocks. As a key member of our product development and strategy team, you will play a crucial role in driving the business forward by sourcing, developing, buying, and delivering a specific range of products at the right cost, right time, and right place.
Key Responsibilities- Product Development: Create and execute the buying strategy, ensuring trends and fashion are translated appropriately to create product lines that are relevant to our brand and customer.
- Supply Chain Management: Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimum product, prices, and terms of contract, utilizing supplier expertise to improve range and knowledge.
- Market Analysis: Review and analyze sales data, identifying top-performing product/lines, ensuring data-driven decisions are made for future lines/intakes and recommendations for improvement are made and presented.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure the successful launch of new product lines/seasonal collections and other company initiatives.
- Inventory Management: Work with the merchandising team to optimize stock levels within budget guidelines.
- Training and Development: Provide effective guidance and training to junior team members.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a Fashion retail Buying role with a commercial mindset.
- Skills: In-depth understanding of current Fashion trends and market knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, numerate with strong analytical skills, organized and detailed-oriented, good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages along with experience with buying systems.
