Job Overview

Avara Foods is one of the UK's leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and well-known restaurants. As a Financial Accounts Assistant, you will be part of our Finance Team, based at our Brackley site.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ERP period close processes to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee month-end intercompany balances and perform reconciliations as needed.
  • Prepare and submit VAT and European tax submissions to regulatory authorities.
  • Guarantee financial compliance by reconciling Statutory turnover to monthly VAT Return submission turnover.
  • Perform monthly reconcilements and releases from group balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare and submit annual group PAYE settlement liability.
  • Create audit analysis and year-end schedules.
  • Ensure Goods received note balance sheet account is up-to-date and cleared.

The estimated salary for this position is £30,000 per annum, inclusive of comprehensive benefits such as 31 days holiday allowance, secure contract with long-term career development opportunities, and access to our Employee Benefit Scheme.
