Surveillance Director

Black Swan Group is seeking a seasoned Surveillance Director to lead our market monitoring efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing market activity to identify potential misconduct and ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. Your key responsibilities will include:
**Market Monitoring**: Track market activities to identify irregularities and potential misconduct.
**Investigations**: Conduct thorough investigations into potential insider trading and other forms of misconduct.
**Business Support**: Provide support to our market surveillance projects, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with company standards and regulations.
**Audit & Regulatory Support**: Handle queries and audits from regulators and stakeholders, ensuring that our company is in compliance with all relevant regulations.
**Reporting**: Provide timely and accurate reports to regulators and stakeholders, highlighting any potential issues or concerns.
**Controls Implementation**: Implement and enforce controls aligned with company standards, ensuring that our market surveillance activities are conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
**Data & Model Support**: Ensure that our data and models are accurate and efficient, providing valuable insights to inform our market surveillance activities.
As a Surveillance Director, you will be responsible for advising senior management and driving initiatives to improve our market surveillance capabilities. You will also be responsible for overseeing budgeting, policy, and resourcing, ensuring that our market surveillance activities are conducted in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and escalating any breaches to senior management. Your expertise will be crucial in engaging with regulators and advocacy groups, influencing and negotiating with senior stakeholders, and acting as the main contact for key clients.
