BNY Mellon is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Representative EMEA to join our People Team in Manchester. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes across multiple legal entities in EMEA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Payroll team to ensure timely and accurate monthly payroll for employees in countries within your remit.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and payments to third parties, including regulatory and taxing bodies.
- Provide expert advice to employees and internal stakeholders on payroll queries.
- Contribute to the development of robust operating procedures and controls for all transactions.
- Prepare and submit payroll data to vendors in accordance with pay calendars.
- Review Net Salary calculations as part of pre-payroll validations.
- Ensure accurate and timely distribution of employee pay statements.
- Support the Payroll team to meet all regulatory, tax, compliance, internal, and external filings, third-party payments, and reporting requirements.
- Provide timely and accurate post-payroll reporting.
Requirements:
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work effectively to numerous deadlines.
- Experience of EMEA payrolls and benefits tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to train and cover on other EMEA country payrolls as required.
- Proactive risk management and implementation of effective controls in an ever-changing environment.
- Experience of working relationships with third-party outsourced service providers/vendors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory) and German (preferable).
- Highly proficient in Excel and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision.
