BNY Mellon is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Representative EMEA to join our People Team in Manchester. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes across multiple legal entities in EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Payroll team to ensure timely and accurate monthly payroll for employees in countries within your remit.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and payments to third parties, including regulatory and taxing bodies.
  • Provide expert advice to employees and internal stakeholders on payroll queries.
  • Contribute to the development of robust operating procedures and controls for all transactions.
  • Prepare and submit payroll data to vendors in accordance with pay calendars.
  • Review Net Salary calculations as part of pre-payroll validations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely distribution of employee pay statements.
  • Support the Payroll team to meet all regulatory, tax, compliance, internal, and external filings, third-party payments, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide timely and accurate post-payroll reporting.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work effectively to numerous deadlines.
  • Experience of EMEA payrolls and benefits tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to train and cover on other EMEA country payrolls as required.
  • Proactive risk management and implementation of effective controls in an ever-changing environment.
  • Experience of working relationships with third-party outsourced service providers/vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory) and German (preferable).
  • Highly proficient in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision.
