About the Role

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Breast Care department. As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working autonomously to assess and treat patients, and managing the clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients with breast cancer, using advanced clinical skills and knowledge to make sound decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with the junior medical team and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidance for breast cancer care, in conjunction with senior nursing and consultant staff.
  • Triage referrals, support the CNS in clinical triage, and see patients in clinic to support the consultant workforce.
  • Contribute to service development, research, teaching, and education commitments, and participate in local, national, and international forums.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (Level 1) with a Bachelor's Degree in nursing, health, or management-related studies.
  • Advanced clinical and physical assessment skills, with a minimum of 5 years of post-basic qualification experience, 2 years of which must be at an appropriate area of specialist practice at a senior level.
  • Non-medical Prescribing (or willingness to undertake).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven listening and counselling skills, and experience in conflict management.
