We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Neonatal Nurse Specialist to join our professional team of nurses at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. Our neonatal unit is a busy level two unit with 22 cots, including four intensive care cots, five high dependency, and seventeen special care cots. Our team offers ongoing professional development and educational programs, with the opportunity to gain a Qualified in Specialty (QIS) in neonatology.

The successful candidate will provide 24-hour care, days, nights, and weekends to preterm and critically ill babies, covering a range of conditions including respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, jaundice, feeding issues, and other factors of prematurity. They will work closely with the consultant, dietician, physiotherapist, speech and language, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.

The post holder will have the opportunity to work across sites to support the neonatal unit and transitional care, promoting breastfeeding and family integrated care. They will be involved in the discharge process to ensure a timely discharge from hospital to the home environment.
