Job Summary

The Paediatric Diabetes Service at The Diabetes Times is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering specialist clinical diabetes services to children and young people with diabetes and their families. You will work closely with Consultant Paediatricians, PDSNs, Dieticians, and psychology services to ensure the highest quality care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Organise and plan the day-to-day management of the Diabetes Team caseload, ensuring individual needs are met.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Provide line management, education, and training to colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team and other departments to develop and implement quality initiatives, ensuring delivery of quality nursing care.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the service, influencing local and regional policy and practice.
