Procurement and Commercial Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement and Commercial Manager to join our team at Carrington West, a leading design consultancy based in Glasgow, Scotland.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide procurement support.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Analyse and report on procurement KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement and commercial management, ideally within the design or creative industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favourable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Sound knowledge of procurement best practices, contract law, and supply chain management principles.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in procurement, business, or a related field are desirable.
