Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Commercial Officer to join our team at the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering commercial management services to our clients across a wide range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Management: Develop and implement commercial strategies to ensure client objectives are met through the delivery of value-added commercial management services.
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Identify and mitigate risks, develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies, and ensure alignment with cost management teams and commercial delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in cost controls and commercial governance, and implement changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Lead engagements, mentor junior staff, and upskill internal and external stakeholders in cost and commercial assurance.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, promote the profile of CIPS as a provider of professional services, and support the internal team.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in delivering commercial management services, with a strong background in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Education: Relevant qualifications in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
