Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team at Octavius Infrastructure. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for managing project costs, overseeing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms and business plan commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Management: Manage project costs according to contractual agreements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Financial Performance: Oversee financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to meet profit targets.
  • Change Control: Administer change control processes, ensuring compliance with contractual timescales and minimizing financial impact.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks and opportunities effectively, ensuring the project remains on track and within budget.
  • Procurement: Deliver compliant procurement processes, manage the supply chain, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Commercial Queries: Assist in handling commercial queries and legal matters, including disputes, ensuring a smooth and efficient resolution process.
  • Project Progress: Monitor project progress, conduct site visits, and maintain accurate financial logs.
  • Cost Review Meetings: Prepare and participate in monthly cost review meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with assurance processes and legislative requirements, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, particularly within a civil engineering environment.
  • Qualifications: Background in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, with familiarity with NEC Contracts.
  • Professional Membership: Professional membership with RICS or CICES is desirable.
