Senior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Octavius Infrastructure. As a key member of our Rail framework, you will play a pivotal role in delivering new stations and buildings across Wales & Western. This exciting opportunity will involve working on a wide range of infrastructure projects, including stations, Access for All schemes, and domestic renewals packages.

• Develop and manage analytical cost estimates that align with tender documentation and framework requirements.
• Produce order of magnitude budgets, cost plans, and design to cost budgets.
• Prepare and present cost estimates at internal and external meetings.
• Analyse method-related costs and temporary works in collaboration with Project Managers and other teams.
• Contribute to written methodologies, proposals, and programme commentaries.
• Support on other frameworks, projects, and tenders.

• Proven experience in estimating for a wide variety of infrastructure projects, with a focus on rail.
• Familiarity with construction techniques, technologies, and methods.
• Detailed knowledge of risk management procedures and their impact on cost estimates.
• Competence in using estimating software and strong IT skills.
