About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Protection Specialist to join our Family Safeguarding team in Blackburn. This is an exciting opportunity to work with vulnerable children and families, promoting their welfare and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks.
  2. Develop and implement targeted support plans to safeguard children and promote their well-being.
  3. Collaborate with other agencies to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to service delivery.
  4. Represent the organization in court hearings and legal proceedings.
  5. Provide expert advice and guidance to families and carers.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Degree in Social Work or a related field.
  2. Registration with Social Work England.
  3. Proven experience working with children and families in a social care setting.
  4. Sound knowledge of child protection legislation and procedures.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Salary: £39 per hour

Contract Type: 6-month fixed-term contract
