Job Description

Browne Jacobson is a leading UK-based law firm with an international reach, providing comprehensive and pragmatic employment advice and support to clients in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide solution-focused employment advice to clients in the education sector, including advising schools and academies on employment law issues.
  • Advocate in employment tribunals and prepare for cases, including drafting contracts, policies, and procedures.
  • Advise on union issues, including negotiating policies, restructures, and changing terms and conditions.
  • Maximize new business opportunities for the firm and contribute to marketing efforts.
  • Deliver exceptional client service and keep abreast of sector developments and changes.
Requirements
  • A thorough understanding of employment law, including contentious and non-contentious issues.
  • Good IT and keyboard skills, familiar with Microsoft Office and relevant case management systems.
  • Familiarity with online and library research facilities.
  • Ability to provide practical, commercial advice and establish good professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
