About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Employment Lawyer to join our team at Boots UK Legal. As an Employment Lawyer, you will play a key role in managing a significant employment tribunal case load and providing solution-oriented, risk-based legal advice to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employment claims for Boots UK, Boots Opticians, and other Walgreens Boots Alliance businesses.
  • Manage relationships with external counsel in respect of employment work.
  • Provide skilled, timely employment advice and support to the HR Director, key stakeholders, and the wider HR Function in accordance with Boots' strategy and its operational and commercial needs.
  • Partner closely with the HR Leadership teams to drive best practice.

Requirements:

  • You should be a qualified solicitor (England & Wales) or hold an equivalent qualification with 3 years post-qualified experience (indicative).
  • You should have broad experience of employment law matters in the UK with a demonstrable ability to handle a significant litigation case load.
  • You should have a keen commercial outlook with sufficient technical experience to work autonomously in an in-house employment law team.
  • You should be an excellent communicator and be able to build strong relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contacts at all levels.
