Development Engineer Assistant

Fawkes & Reece is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Development Engineer to join their technical team. The successful candidate will provide technical support and information to various departments, including construction, commercial, sales, and technical.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical assistance and support to ensure the successful delivery of housing developments in the Lancashire and Greater Manchester region.
- Assist in the review of engineering designs to ensure cost-effectiveness and buildability.
- Coordinate as-built surveys and produce adoption drawings in AutoCAD.
- Manage the adoption process for S278, S38, S104, and S185 adoptions.
- Obtain quotations for multi-utility/service connections and assess them with the Engineering Manager.
- Ensure driveways and footpaths are completed to agreed standards prior to legal completion of new homes.
- Answer queries from site teams on engineering issues with support from the Line Manager.
- Prepare and maintain drawing registers for engineering details and drawings.
- Produce External Works and Plot Drainage plans using AutoCAD.
- Manage and monitor Materials Management Plans for topsoil and subsoil.
- Coordinate information from external consultants, suppliers, and manufacturers on engineering-related details.
- HNC/HND (minimum) in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Word and Excel proficiency.
- Good engineering knowledge from previous experience in the House Building Sector.
- Commercial awareness.
- Health and safety awareness.
- Ability to work in a busy team environment and autonomously.
