As a Technical Support Assistant Development Engineer at Fawkes and Reece, you will play a key role in supporting the technical team and Engineering Manager to ensure all roads and sewers are designed and adopted to specification.

You will be responsible for working on housing developments in the Lancashire and Greater Manchester region, providing technical support and information to construction, commercial, sales, and technical departments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to various departments, including construction, commercial, sales, and technical.
  • Assist the Technical and Commercial Departments in issuing tender drawings, assessing them, and engaging with pre-award meetings.
  • Review engineering designs to ensure cost-effectiveness and buildability.
  • Coordinate as-built surveys and produce AutoCAD drawings for road and sewer adoption.
  • Manage S278, S38, S104 & S185 adoptions, inspecting road and sewer works from commencement to formal adoption by the Local Authority.
  • Obtain multi-utility/service connection quotations, assess them with the Engineering Manager, and monitor site teams in delivering mains and plot connections.
