Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager

Our client, a leading Civil Engineering contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety standards across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of health, safety, and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Coordinate drug and alcohol procedures, ensuring that staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
  3. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure high standards and project targets are met.
  4. Attend health and safety meetings and provide expert advice to management and staff.

Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years' experience in Civil Engineering, with a strong background in health and safety.
  2. A recognized health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH Construction or similar.
  3. Experience of managing multi-skilled teams, establishing performance expectations, and wellbeing initiatives.
  4. Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and the Contractor's Health and Safety Management Plan.
  5. Full driving licence.
