Job Description

The Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Procurement and Distribution Expert to join our pharmacy team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing of pharmaceuticals, managing inventory levels, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in pharmacy procurement, excellent communication abilities, strong initiative, and the capacity to work accurately under tight deadlines. Experience in change management, audit processes, and data analysis is highly desirable, along with proficiency in IT systems, particularly JAC/CMM and Excel.


Main Tasks
  • Procurement Activities: Oversee the purchasing of pharmaceuticals, ensuring a reliable and compliant supply chain.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, coordinate restocking, and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain regulatory documentation and investigate any stock discrepancies for compliance.
  • Distribution Support: Provide backup support for distribution when required, facilitating seamless operation across pharmacy services.

The estimated salary for this position is around £38,000 - £43,000 per annum, depending on experience.
