Bournemouth University is seeking experienced professionals to contribute their expertise and time to enhance the experience of thousands of students every year.

  • Two full Board Members with finance/audit expertise and estates/property expertise
  • Three co-opted Committee Members with finance/audit expertise and higher education expertise

The University Board and Committees:

Led by the Chair of the Board, the University Board oversees the strategic development of the University and ensures the effective use of resources.

The Board comprises independent members drawn from higher education, the public sector, industry, and commerce, as well as representatives of students and academic and professional services staff.

  • Approving the mission, strategic vision, and values of the institution
  • Ensuring an effective process for monitoring and evaluating the performance of the institution
  • Promoting equality and diversity throughout the institution
  • Ensuring systems of control and accountability are in place

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute expertise and time to support and enable the effective governance of the University
  • Participate in the University Board and Committees
  • Support the Chair of the Board and other members

Requirements:

  • Senior strategic leadership experience in finance, audit, estates, property, or higher education
