Are you an ambitious final year undergraduate looking to kickstart your career in digital systems engineering? This graduate programme at Siemens Mobility presents a unique opportunity to be part of the East Coast Digital Programme (ECDP) team, where you will work on deploying state-of-the-art European Train Control System technology on the East Coast Mainline.

The programme is split into 12 phases, aiming to be delivered by 2030. You will have the chance to work collaboratively with the test team, contributing to producing test documentation, and developing an understanding of system proving and related test activities.

This role offers the chance to embark on a transformative journey, shaping the future of transportation. With a personalised training plan, you will develop specific skills and knowledge required for this role, equipping you with hands-on experience and expertise to excel in your professional career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the ETCS test team in creating comprehensive test strategies and plans.
  • Develop an understanding of system proving and related test activities working on ECDP projects.
  • Collaborate with the digital trackside team to familiarise with ETCS sub-systems.
  • Conduct testing during system proving (off-site and on-site) and support the test team with analysing test cases.
Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Achieved or are on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a relevant engineering degree such as railway engineering, electrical & electronics.
  • Logical thinking, willingness to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change.
