Special Educational Needs Assistant

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in supporting students with Special Educational Needs. This role is crucial in providing educational and social support to students, helping to raise their academic achievement and promote their personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding and Welfare: Promote and ensure the safety and well-being of all children and young people in your care.
- Student Support: Assist students with identified special educational needs in their academic, social, and behavioural development, working closely with the AVP Inclusion (SENCo).
- Classroom Assistance: Provide targeted support to individuals, small groups, or whole classes by clarifying instructions, providing differentiated resources, and promoting independent learning skills.
- EHCP Support: Help deliver educational support plans for students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP), especially those with High Needs Funding.
- Behaviour Management: Encourage positive behaviour by fostering relationships, keeping students on task, and supporting the school's behaviour policy.
- Specialist Programmes: Assist in delivering speech and language, physical, and other specialist programmes as required.
