Education Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Professional to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Learning Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
This is a rewarding role that involves helping children reach their full potential in a caring and inclusive school environment. You will assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery, support individual students or small groups with learning activities, and help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Support individual students or small groups with learning activities.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Foster a supportive and engaging environment to help pupils thrive.
- Work collaboratively with staff to ensure the welfare and progress of students.
- Previous experience working with children (preferably in an educational setting).
- A patient, caring, and supportive nature.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
- A willingness to support students with SEN and/or challenging behaviours.
Desirable:
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or similar).
- Experience in primary or secondary education.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
